NISSAN Pictures of how I Made my own Ram Air Intake on my 87-95 Nissan Pathfinder.

RAM Air Intake:
This is a form of Cold Air Intake, which draws cold air from outside the hot engine compartment. The Ram Air Intake is basically a funnel that catches the wind (as you drive at speed) to force air into the air intake. This should theoretically increase horsepower by making it easier for the intake stroke of the piston to bring air into the cylinder. It is sometimes incorrectly called "forced air induction," which is air pushed in mechanically, as by a turbo.

But first, lets pay some bills:

  1. Stock Air intake system.

  2. Replaced this pipe.

  3. With a pipe directly to the space above the headlight to catch the wind.

  4. Intake to Air Cleaner Pipe.

  5. This side pipe does nothing. It's blocked off in the middle.

  6. Where the intake attaches to the fender well.

  7. Yep, I broke it off.

  8. These are the screw locations on the front blinker light. I removed it to get to the inside of the fender well.

  9. The clips are attached in back of the fender well. I finally pliered them out.

  10. I got some of this awesome adhesive.

  11. I applied some per the directions and held it together to dry.

  12. It does absolutely nothing.
    Falls Off

  13. F you SF100.
    Damn You

  14. You can just see the home made intake above the headlight.

  15. Anyway, I think this caused an air intake manifold leak, and I noticed no horsepower gain. I put it back to stock. Sadik must have had better results. And his website may be better too. Jerk.

  16. Next I sold out to make 02ยข so I can fulfill my lifelong dream of owning a 1986 944 with blown head gaskets.

    But no minivans!

  17. Then I finished my beer.

If this site has helped you, or even if it hasn't, please help care for abused and neglected children by making a donation to The Valley of the Moon Children's Home. That's right, abused and neglected children. Visit their website and try not to cry, you cold hearted bastard. Their site talks about how they achieved their goals and built a new home, but that was years ago. They still need cash to take care of all the kids there. Breaks my heart and pisses me off.
