Hardbody Rock Crawler with a body lift, Solid Front axle.
I spotted Ernie in his 91 Hardbody. He did all the work himself. He is a Nissan Expert and works at a mechanic shop in Santa Rosa. He was kind enough to let me snap some pictures of his rig.
If I remember correctly, he used a Ford front end and narrowed it to match the back. He had a welded rear differential and an air locker in front. He had headers and a cone air filter on the VG30. He said this made a big difference in low end torque.
